Of course, it old news now, but my thoughts at the time went something like this:
He's gotta be a card carrying member of the Klan....righhhhhht?
How dare Joe Wilson desecrate the hallowed decorum of Congress? Just who does he think he is?
I'll tell you who he is. He's a South Carolinian. A natural born pain in the posterior.
As for Maureen Dowd, Carter and the other sycophants: Leave it to intellectually vacant gas bags like them to resort to the race excuse. Elitist Liberals such as Maureen tend to fast forward to that position when confronted with explaining their ideology. And it's a seductive path to follow. Liberals can't for the life of them defend the notion that higher taxes and regulations work to progress mankind; hence, when asked to explain, they get flustered and whip out their trusty, dog eared race card. It's the perfect cover when you have no rational argument to make.
You question how allowing an unaccountable entity like the US government could possible run health care when you can't find one example of where said type health care efficiently works anywhere else on earth....You must be a racist.
It's almost funny if you think about it. It's a parody of Jeff Foxworthy's you might be a red neck routine. You might be a racist if...
You wonder why, especially after 9-11-01, our southern border is left virtually unguarded, and that tens of millions of people are allowed to wander in, promised amnesty and allowed to rabble rouse unrelentingly about their "rightful" ownership of the land. Meanwhile, those who immigrate legally, stand in line to take the oath and actually desire to become Americans are swept aside and marginalized.
You think affirmative action, while crafted with good intention, has become a millstone around the necks of black people; or if you think that the thug culture so associated with black (and white) youth and mainstreamed by the media is really stupid.
You mistrust a government that seeks to control every aspect of life or you question the motives of a president who campaigned as a moderate, but who has more socialist, anti capitalist pals than Brezhnev. Tea Partiers get special notice for their blatant racism.
Truth be told, you might be mind numbed moron if you read Maureen Dowd.
Hi Ho.
Funny you should mention the topic of legal immigration, Larry. A few yearsa ago, I looked into the possibility of moving to the United States. The application costs, red tape and wait times were beyond belief. I have an American sister who could sponsor me and my family, but even then we'd be looking at a wait of four to five years before getting our Green Cards. So I never went ahead with it.
ReplyDeleteWould we be better off slipping over the border during the night and setting up house and shop illegally? Certainly seems so - we'd even have the "right" to protest in major cities on behalf of illegals like us.
Crazy, sir. Crazy.
"Read about it and weep for freedom" is a line in the Dowd link.........and applies to your post, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat the HECK is going on? El Cerdo's right; it's very difficult to come in legally with a job or family waiting for you; but let a person break the law and we'll pay for EVERYTHING as a 'thanks'!?? The "thug culture"=Chicago politicians, and now WE are stuck with it, too.
People with jobs and skills don't vote Democrat, it's really as simple as that.
ReplyDeleteMaurine Dowd´s Monday piece will probably be titled: "IOC to Obama: No Olympics for you, boy!"
ReplyDeleteMike: Maurine Dowd´s Monday piece will probably be titled: "IOC to Obama: No Olympics for you, boy!"
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahahaa!!!!
That's right Z: we are stuck with the Chicago thugocracy - for now - Can we wiggle free?
ReplyDeleteDan shoots and he scores! LOL!
Mike: that's hilarious! I like the way you're reading between the lines there!
